Vincenza was born in the Bronx on April 1, 1930 to Marco and Maria DiStefano (nee Dipolito). She grew up in a close-knit Italian American community, where she met her late husband, Eugene DiCarlucci. He died on May 16, 1987. Vincenza was an avid Yankees fan who loved Frank Sinatra.
Vincenza was predeceased by her parents, her brother Vito, and her sisters Christina and Michelina. She is survived by her devoted daughters Lena DiCarlucci, Maria DiCarlucci, (Ayman Ibrahim); her grandchildren Joseph Flutie (Allison), Nicole Doherty (Patrick), and Diana Flutie; her great grandchildren, Ryder, Owen, Madison, Sophie, Declan, Rhone and Everly; along with her sister-in-law Stella Borromeo; and her many nieces and nephews.
Her love was a constant, guiding light in our lives. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to inspire generations to come. Vincenza will be deeply missed, but she will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
“Dear mom, I’m so grateful for the way I was raised. You were never afraid to be my mother—to put your foot down, to teach me right from wrong, to make sure I did my best. You always let me know I had a mother who was my biggest fan and who loved and cherish me more than life itself, who was there for me no matter what. We are heartbroken, but take solace in knowing you are at peace. You will greatly be missed and we love you”
