
Virginia Dolzadelli, a longtime resident of the Morris Park area of the Bronx, passed away on October 22, 2024 at Calvary Hospital. She went peacefully into eternal sleep with her daughter, Maryann holding her hand. She was 92.
Virginia was born on September 10, 1932 in Robledo, Spain to the late Manuel and Amalia (Rodriguez) Fernandez. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Dolzadelli as well as two brothers, José María and Luís, a sister, Argentina, a niece, Celia and a nephew, David.
Virginia leaves behind two daughters, Maryann Dolzadelli and Lisa Chtioui (Rachid), a son, John (Jimena) and three grandchildren. She also leaves behind two sisters, Adela and Amparo and a brother, Manuel as well as many nieces and nephews in Spain, Italy and Australia.
Family was everything to Virginia. Seeing family made her happy, especially her grandchildren who meant the world to her. She was loving Nonna to Nadia, Gianluca and Mateo. She has left us with good, happy memories and will be missed by all.
Visiting will be Tuesday from 8:30am to 9:30am at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1703 Lurting Avenue, Bronx. Cremation will follow at 11am at Woodlawn Crematory, East 233rd Street and Webster Avenue, Bronx.
We are so sad for Nonna’s family but rejoice that she is free of pain and will be reunited with her dear husband.
Losing a mother is not easy, but we are sure that she is at peace and by God’s side. Maryann, please accept my deepest condolences to you and your family. You did so much for your mom in her lifetime, and I hope God helps you find peace in your heart.
So sad……I’ll always remember that stories she told me about early NY when she came from Spain…..she was so cute and kind ….My condolences to all family.
