Walter Gartner, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on September 3, 2024. He was 76.
Mr. Gartner was born on January 16, 1948 in Eberau, Austria to the late Johann and Gisela (Schneider) Gartner. He was an accountant, broker, and certified financial planner who ran a successful business for over 30 years.
He is pre-deceased by his wife, Dolores E. (Burckardt) Gartner, who died on February 6, 2023. He is survived by his sons, Erich and his wife Theresa and Mark and his wife Dainelle; and his brother, Manfred.
Visiting will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-8pm at Joseph A. Lucchese Funeral Home, 726 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 10am at St. Francis Xavier Church, 1703 Lurting Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx.
