William A. Madden, a longtime resident of the Bronx, died on September 26, 2024. He was 78.

Mr. Madden was born on November 26, 1945 in Ireland to the late William and Elizabeth (Connolly) Madden. He was a long time member of the Woodlawn Irish community, an avid golfer, and supporter of the GAA games.

Billy is survived by Joan, his wife of 47 years, his son Liam and his partner Emily, his daughter Blair, her husband John and their son JJ. He is also survived by brothers Christie, Paddy, and John, sisters Mary and Monica, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be Monday from 4-8pm at John Dormi & Sons Funeral Home, 1121 Morris Park Avenue, Bronx. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10am at St. Clare’s Church, 1918 Paulding Avenue, Bronx. Interment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery, 280 Secor Road, Hartsdale. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory to the Aisling Irish Community Center
